Curriculum & skills

A literacy-focused, four-skills foundation: phonics and reading decoding; foundational grammar (to be, present simple, basic questions, articles, plurals); everyday vocabulary themes (family, school, food, animals, hobbies); listening for key words; guided writing; and structured speaking drills to build early confidence.

• Take part in short conversations on familiar topics with growing fluency
• Understand the main points of slow, clear spoken English

Curriculum & skills

A balanced four-skills syllabus with a fluency emphasis: extended speaking (role-plays, pair and group tasks, mini-presentations); listening to varied input; expanded grammar (past simple, future forms, comparatives, modals for ability and permission); wider topic vocabulary; paragraph-level writing; and reading short texts for meaning.

Curriculum & skills

A fluency-first syllabus over two parts: Part 1 (12 weeks) finds the voice, with experiences, narrative tenses, comparison, future plans and a first real showcase; Part 2 (18 weeks) turns it outward, with reported speech, the passive, the past perfect, conditionals and deduction, contrast and concession, wishes and regrets, then debate, persuasion, extended narrative, connected speech and register. Every week is one topic and one grammar point across four 90-minute days, with a protected fluency sprint daily.

Delivered through Bridge Academy's in-house curriculum with even coverage across the four skills: alphabet and pronunciation; survival vocabulary (greetings, numbers, time, shopping, food); present simple and basic question forms; core sentence structure; and everyday listening and speaking practice.

In-house curriculum with even four-skills coverage: the core tense system (present simple and continuous, past simple, going to / will); countable and uncountable nouns; comparatives and superlatives; everyday and topic vocabulary; functional language; graded reading and listening; and structured speaking and writing tasks.

In-house curriculum with extra weighting on spoken fluency through extended discussion, role-play, and presentation work. Language focus: present perfect vs. past simple; first and second conditionals; modals of obligation and advice; relative clauses; expanded vocabulary and collocations; and longer reading, listening, and paragraph-to-essay writing.

In-house curriculum balancing grammatical accuracy with advanced communication: mixed conditionals, perfect modals, reported speech, and the full passive range; academic and topic vocabulary; critical reading; note-taking and detailed listening; structured essay and report writing; and debate to sharpen spoken precision.

• Apply foundational reading and listening strategies

Curriculum & skills

Delivered through in-house materials alongside official Cambridge IELTS practice tests: full orientation to the Academic format; reading and listening question-type strategies; an introduction to Writing Task 1 and Task 2; Speaking Parts 1-3 frameworks; academic vocabulary and high-frequency grammar; and guided practice attempting each question type.

• Apply advanced, band-appropriate strategies under timed conditions
• Write Task 1 and Task 2 essays meeting the target band on all criteria
• Speak with the fluency and range required across all three parts

Driven by the official band descriptors, using in-house materials and Cambridge practice tests: advanced reading and listening technique; Writing Task 1 and Task 2 trained to band criteria with model answers and individually marked feedback; Speaking practice with feedback on fluency, coherence, and pronunciation; regular full timed mock tests; and refinement of academic vocabulary and complex grammar.

Sixteen weekly grammar systems across two parts, from am/is/are to going to, each taught over a four-day arc: Notice, Rules & Patterns, Practice Lab, and Use It & Check. Auto-scored checkpoint tests at the end of each part confirm the systems are automatic before moving on.
